Aluminum foil is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness less than 0.2 mm; thinner gauges down to 6 micrometres are also commonly used. Standard household foil is typically 0.016 mm thick, and heavy duty household foil is typically 0.024 mm. The foil is pliable, and can be readily bent or wrapped around objects. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimes laminated to other materials such as plastics or paper to make them more useful. 1. Heat sealing temperature is an important factor affecting the heat seal strength. If the temperature is too low, the adhesive layer is not well sealed with the PVC film, and the bond between the adhesive layer and the PVC film is not strong. If the temperature is too high, the seal will be affected. Therefore, a reasonable heat sealing temperature is usually between 160 ° C and 180 ° C.
2. Heat sealing pressure To achieve the desired heat sealing strength, it is necessary to set a certain heat sealing pressure. If the pressure is insufficient, not only can the adhesive layer of the product and the PVC film be fully adhered to the heat seal, and even the air bubbles remain between the two, failing to achieve a good heat sealing effect. Therefore, the national standard stipulates that the pressure of heat sealing is 0.2×10Pa.
3. Heat sealing time The heat sealing time also affects the heat sealing strength of the product. Under normal circumstances, under the same heat sealing temperature and pressure, a longer heat sealing time can make the heat sealing portion seal more firmly and better, and can better achieve the desired heat sealing strength. If the heat sealing time is too short, the heat sealing between the adhesive layer and the PVC film is insufficient. To this end, the national standard stipulates that the scientific heat sealing time is 1s.
